Désiré Mia hails from Hanover, Germany, where his passion for athletic and artistic performance was first cultivated. Born to an African father and German mother, Désiré was raised in a bicultural, multi-lingual (fluent in English, French, and German) household that fostered global citizenship.
Discovered as a teen on Instagram in 2017, Désiré found representation with the world's leading modeling agencies, landing campaigns and runway shows for iconic fashion brands like Tom Ford, Ralph Lauren, Hermès, and Lacoste.
Désiré garnered visibility through his artful and impactful social media presence, coupling countless hours dedicated to Taekwondo, Futsal (recruited by Germany's Hanover 96, professional soccer club), and acting (trained at IDSA in London and HB Studios in NY), launching his acting debut in the lead role as Sagan Bruno in the Netflix/Blumhouse martial arts drama, "Absolute Dominion.".
